- Weaver's Will is a unique and innovative item mechanic introduced in Last Epoch that allows certain Unique items to evolve into Legendary items over time, fundamentally changing how players upgrade their gear.
What is Weaver's Will?
Unlike the traditional Legendary Potential system, which requires crafting materials and gold to upgrade items, Weaver's Will upgrades happen automatically as you gain experience points (XP) by killing monsters while the item is equipped. Each Weaver's Will item has a value ranging from 5 to 28, representing how many upgrade points it can use to add or improve affixes on the item. At maximum Weaver's Will (28), the item can gain up to four Tier-7 affixes, effectively transforming it into a powerful Legendary item without manual crafting.
How Does It Work?
1. When you equip a Weaver's Will Unique item, it earns XP alongside your character.
2. As the item gains XP, it randomly adds new affixes or upgrades existing ones.
3. Each upgrade consumes one point of Weaver's Will until it is depleted.
4. The affixes gained are often rare and high-tier, significantly boosting the item's power.
5. This process is automatic and does not require player intervention beyond equipping the item and killing monsters.
Farming and Upgrading Weaver's Will Items
1. Farm at level 100 zones where higher Weaver's Will rolls are more common.
2. Use the Grand Winds of Fortune Blessing to increase item rarity.
3. Run the Monolith of Fate with Unique Echoes and increase Timeline Corruption to improve rewards.
4. Apply the Rune of Ascendance to boost drops of specific item types.
Summary
Weaver's Will and Legendary Potential cannot appear on the same item, making them mutually exclusive upgrade paths. While Legendary Potential offers more control over crafting outcomes, Weaver's Will provides a unique, hands-off progression with unpredictable but often powerful results.
