Then there's the issue of determining has not posted anything yet
Rather than feeling sensitive to a sensed judgment about time traveling could only be a simple"hello that is against the rules, see sidebar".
(Edit: it is fine to downvote that in the event that you're an avid TTer and do not wish to mark spoilers or something. Just trying to provide another viewpoint in this thread that's asking for comments )
The things which make my own Reddit feed and also top the listing on hot after the sticky are varied on subject so I wouldn't say there's an problem with common occurrences that neighborhood upvoting and downvoting doesn't already solve.
I usually think spoiler tags are absurd, but you'd want to go further than simply time travel in the event that you really wanted to prevent spoiling things people have not seen yet. All out of current season content will require a tag weather it's an old picture from your image library or a fresh picture from time traveling will show new gamers thing they haven't already seen. Plus things like the latest direct video clips would need tagging since it reveals new content before anyone gets a chance to see it in-game.
I really don't see any issue with memorials. I believe remembering your loved ones is amazing and should not be judged as something dark or scary.
I really don't think spoiler tags for content that has been in the sport since launch is fair. Once the game is out its out. Anything found in the game after that is fair for seeing. As far as New Horizons proceed, how will spoilers for content even work when there are two hemispheres and several time zones? When things and events turn into naturally offered in a particular timezone outside of the US, if person be downvoted for what is rightfully available to them? Northern players such as spoiled things all year for southern hemisphere players rather than a word was said about it. Yet when northern hemisphere players have been spoiled about literally anything you never hear the end of this. Southern hemisphere gamers had been admonished all summer since we obviously had snow. Yet few whined about all of the summertime things that northern hemisphere gamers would flaunt. How is that fair?
Then there's the issue of determining what is new? How long would we need to use spoilers? When exactly does new content prevent being'fresh' and for that? Using the southern hemisphere again a good example, snow by mid-July was not new for us.
