League of Legends devs unveil the MOBA's next big event, Project: Bastion has not posted anything yet
In case you have noticed that enigmatic teaser on the League of Legends Twitter station, you've definitely been wondering what in the world Riot Games has in store for its flagship MOBA match next. The response has now been revealed: Project: Bastion is a month-long event running around three patches, which attracts a bunch of new skins in the Project line, the yield of Nexus Blitz, and more.
To start, the when. Job: Bastion kicks off May 27 and runs through to June 28, which means it will be live across areas 11.11, 11.12, and 11.13. In terms of the what, the seven -- yep, seven -- fresh Project skins coming would be for League of Legends champions Mordekaiser, Renekton, Sejuani, Senna, Varus (which was teased and then un-teased), and Sylas -- together with the latter also obtaining a prestige edition. This will cost 2,000 Project: Bastion event tokens, and may be claimed up until fourteen days after the event ends. You can check out the splash art for a number of them below.
The skins will tie in the theme of this Bastion event, which sees the present -- and popular -- Job alternate universe take centre stage. "The battling factions players have met in the past must now band together against a new threat activated from the mysterious Program virus," Riot explains.
Quick-fire game style Nexus Blitz yields for your event, which means some rapid rounds of randomness will be live once more. Also available with the forthcoming event are a few new borders, loot, icons, and emotes, which you will be able to scoop up if you pick up the Project: Bastion event pass.
Plus, there is a prestige edition of an existing Job skin coming with patch 11.13, that will cost 100 prestige points -- although which winner that is for exactly is a mystery for the time being. You could always have a look through the existing skin list if you're eager to guess, however, we won't know for several weeks most likely. Riot previously indicated that Zed would be obtaining a prestige seem at some point this season"for a previously published skin", so maybe it could be him -- but that is only guesswork for the time being, and we are going to have to watch for patch 11.13 to find out who's the blessed winner is. The 11.13 upgrade will go live on June 23 based on the League of Legends 2021 patch program.
